Terms of Service

Sifter is a simulation that ranks CVs by pairwise comparison to estimate how a submission might fare against others for a chosen role. It is a demonstration and self-assessment tool only. It is not a recruitment service, an application to any employer, or professional career advice, and its results do not guarantee any hiring or employment outcome.

You must be at least 16 years old, or the minimum age of digital consent in your country, to use Sifter. You are responsible for any activity that takes place under your account and for keeping your sign-in details secure. You agree to provide accurate information and to use the service only for lawful, personal, non-commercial purposes.

When using Sifter, you agree not to:

• submit CV content that is not yours to share, or that infringes another person’s privacy or intellectual-property rights;
• upload unlawful, harmful, or deliberately misleading content;
• attempt to circumvent usage limits, probe, scrape, or reverse engineer the service, or disrupt its operation;
• use the service to build a competing product or to make actual hiring decisions about other people.

You keep ownership of the CV content you submit. You grant us a limited licence to process that content to operate and improve the simulation, as described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to submit any content you provide.

Sifter is offered on an ongoing but best-effort basis. We may add, change, suspend, or withdraw features, apply usage limits, or discontinue the service at any time without notice. We are not liable for any unavailability of the service.

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and the accuracy or reliability of any result. Sift results are generated by automated models and may be incomplete or wrong. You should not rely on them as the sole basis for any decision.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sifter will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, or for any loss of opportunity, data, or profits, arising out of or in connection with your use of the service. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

You may stop using Sifter at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or use the service in a way that could harm Sifter or other users. You can request deletion of your data as set out in the Privacy Policy.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “last updated” date above reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
